Our Nursery Programs (Little Acorns & Little Sprouts) operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM while our Preschool Programs (Little Saplings, Maples, & Oaks) run from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We provide care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. If you will be late for pick up, please call our childcare center ahead so we can notify your child's teacher and make any necessary arrangements. Any pickups after 6:05 PM will be charged a late fee of $1.00 per minute, per child, per occurence. These fees wll be automatically added to your SmartCare account per the check-out time registered. Please note that state licensure only allows Learning Tree to operate only within certain hours.

Learning Tree is located in the heart of Fletcher, North Carolina across from Fletcher Elementary, near Fletcher Park.

If you are unable to pick up your child and will be sending someone else, please inform the teacher and director ahead of time, stating that this person has your permission to pick up your child. All authorized persons should be added to SmartCare through the parent portal with an uploaded photo. Please let the people picking up your child know that we require to see their ID before allowing the child to leave.

If you need to call and verbally add an approved pick up person on a specific day we will verify that informationin with you through SmartCare and follow our normal procedures with that person. We want to keep everyone safe in our care.

Arrival Procedures

All children should arrive at the daycare center between 7:00 AM but no later than 9:00 AM, unless parents have notified the teacher and administrator. Parents or authorized persons are required to bring their child(ren) to the center. Transportation is not provided.

Parents or authorized persons should use their center provided access control code to enter the building and not allow any other parties in without a code to ensure the safety of the childcare center. In addition, they should use their center provided Key Tag or pin to access the kiosk. Once the kiosk pulls up the family record, the parents or authorized persons should select the appropriate function "Check-In" next to each child listed for the family that is being checked-in.

Once the kiosk accepts this function, parents or authorized persons should walk their child to their preschool classroom and deliver them to the teacher or teacher aide. This allows for any information exchange to happen. If the childcare classroom is not occupied the parents or authorized should check the schedule to see if the class is outside and take their child to the teacher in the appropriate area. Children cannot be left unattended for any reason. At this time the parents or authorized persons can leave the building and have officially transferred care to the center.
